environmental integrity of the Equinox Preserve include the following:
Equinox Resort & Spa. The owner of the Equinox Hotel, accompanying resort & spa amenities and the preserved mountain lands that are the subject of this management plan. For more information: www.equinoxresort.com.
Equinox Preservation Trust (EPT). EPT is a local non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage the responsible use of the land and protection of our natural and cultural history by providing the opportunity to interact with the environment through education, research and environmentally sensitive recreation. Vermont Land Trust (VLT). VLT is the holder of conservation easement and public access easements on Mount Equinox. It is a statewide conservation organization headquartered in Montpelier,VT with regional offices throughout the state, including Bennington. Since 1977, it has conserved over 470,000 acres of land throughout Vermont. Its website is www.vlt.org.
The Nature Conservancy of Vermont (TNC). TNC is a national and international conservation organization specializing in the preservation of important ecological resources. It holds conservation easements on two sections of the Equinox Preserve lands, as well as being the largest holder of conservation lands on the Equinox Highlands - Mount Equinox and adjacent Mother Myrick Mountain. TNC now owns or manages over 1800 acres along the Highlands and seeks to acquire additional holdings in the near future. The Vermont Field office is located in Montpelier.
